Great effort on the push press and runs. Everyone’s form looked great and several of you push pressed your PRs for the whole wod. Excellent job!
Warm up: 400m run then
( x2) 10 kb swings, 10 air squats
WOD: 7 minute AMRAP
5 burpees at the top of each minute, then do Thrusters for the rest of the minute.
Thruster weights are 65/95
Example:
Min 1 – 5 burpees then max thrusters
Min 2 – 5 burpees then max thrusters
and so on till you finish. Your score will be total thrusters done.
After the AMRAP you will rest 4 minutes and finish with an 800m run.

wow! this looks intense!
I think I may need to I substitute an 800m wobble for the run
Jim!
!
I just want to give some props to Chris M. He did Push Press’s with his body weight yesterday and then came back for a Thruster AMRAP today! Rah bro… Rah!
yea Chris! Beastly!
First – I can’t make this wod because I’ll be doing stupid tri training today, but it looks tough to all. However – Why the 4 minute rest and then an 800m run? If you do the AMRAP right, you should not be able to run 800m @ 100% even after a 4 minute rest. (Or at least I wouldn’t be able to.) I just don’t see how an 800m run fits into this wod…Just curious to the reasoning behind it.

Although I did not write this WOD, I think that the 800m fits in well. Just like most of the things we tend to do in CrossFit, the point s to learn how to give 100% of what you have at that time. For some people that was simply a jog which helped stretch them out, for others it was a sprint (even if the sprint was maybe only 90% of what they could do fresh) – but even that being said it still was a good way to get blood flowing to tight muscles after thrusters.
I hope this helps answer your question!
I posted a 4:27 on the 800 meters
Best part of the WOD for me
Caitlin thanks for the response. You are absolutely right about the run. Is was meant to be an active recovery after the wod.
