Monday was a fantastic day at the gym. Fran was great and so was the crowd!!!

  • Looked at the wod and thought…ok this is a nice way to start the work week…not. Turns out 36 inches is a hell of a lot higher in the morning than it is in the evening!!!

  • Second note…need to work on the snatch balance… :-)

    I am a little confused after watching the video. I thought we were not supposed to do a slight dip/push with the bar before dropping to the ground. At 57 seconds it looks like that it part of the movement.

  • I think the general idea is explained in the video. The perfect way to do a snatch balance is to drop underneath the bar. While she has a slight bump it is pretty minimal.

    The weight is supposed to be very light so you can do this. The bump only comes when the weight gets heavier. It is not a desired part of the movement.
