wod: Fight Gone Bad

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. This is for 3 rounds. The stations are:

  1. Wall-ball: 20 pound ball, 10 ft target. (Reps)
  2. Sumo deadlift high-pull: 75 pounds (Reps)
  3. Box Jump: 20″ box (Reps)
  4. Push-press: 75 pounds (Reps)
  5. Row: calories (Calories)

The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

Hey all, I know this paleo challenge is going to be wonderful. I have a link that was provided to me to help from another CrossFit facility. http://whole9life.com/2010/05/whole-30-v2/ Please go to the link. I’m finding some great information to help me not feel like I am ‘restricting’ myself.

PS. I especially like the Tough Love section. I’m going to have to print it and put it on my fridge. =)

  • Excellent links! Thanks. I will post everyones FGB scores later today so we can get the challenge going. We still have a few to add but it looks like we are going to have a full crew for this one!!!

oh, Vince, I am feeling your pain…. this morning kicked my ass better than any sparring partner I’ve ever had! LOL

  • Great Job to everyone that came out! Saw some amazing efforts.
Amanda – that is a great site, I’m glad you found it. Melissa and Dallas are 2 of the best in the CF community. She was the one that originated the paleo challenge with her “whole 30″ and has given a ton of good info through the Whole 9 site and her personal blog. I will be featuring some of their stuff over the next 6 weeks.

I ran into the Fish Oil calculator on this site. It has me taking 36 a day. Is that right and will I die?

  • yeah, people freak out when they go through that calculator… lets talk next time you come in. there are different recommendations depending on what state your body is in (banged up, feeling good, etc) and what kind of fish oil you are taking. Pills are cheaper, but you often end up having to take a lot more than if you get the the liquid.
what brad do you have and what are the figures/amounts of EPA, etc?
