We are doing things a touch different for this Paleo Challenge! First, the Paleo Challenge will be for 6 weeks! We are excited to offer the Paleo Plan Quickstart Guide to each CrossFit Carmel member for $10! This is an ebook in pdf form that sells online for $47 to non-members. This guide has everything you need to get started! You are not required to purchase the book if you already have a favorite Paleo plan to follow. The Paleo Plan Quickstart Guide introduces you to Paleo, why Paleo is so good, it’s history and the science behind it! It also has a complete 6 week meal plan with shopping list and recipes!
The 6 week Paleo challenge details: We will start the challenge in two separate heats. We have some folks that want to be a part of the challenge but are heading out for a vacation so we thought it would make sense to have two start dates. Heat #1 starts January 21st – March 3rd and Heat #2 starts January 28th- March 10th. The Baseline for the challenge will also change this time around. The Baseline will be: 2 rounds of 30 burpees on a 45# plate, 30 KB swings ( 50/35) , 30 box jumps( 24/20), 30 push press ( 65/45). If you are new to CrossFit, you can modify the baseline by doing 1 round instead of 2. We have RX weights and heights included but you can modify and/or scale however you need. The baselines will be on Sunday January 22nd at 12n and on Sunday January 29th at 12n.
To start is easy! Either register and pay online for both the Paleo Plan guide and the buy in, or pay me at the gym! As soon as I receive payment for the Paleo Plan Guide I will email you the ebook in PDF form. This PDF can be loaded to your digital devices if you would like. Next, take a photo of yourself or have someone take one of you. You need a front view, a side view and a back view. Men are in shorts and no shirt and women are in a sports bra and shorts. Then log your weight, waist, hips, thighs and arm measurements. There is a log on page 51 of the Paleo Plan Guide.

Hey all! It is fine if you only want to buy the Paleo Plan Guide and not buy in to the Paleo Challenge. However, if you do not pay in you are not eligible for the winnings at the end of challenge.
I have to work on Sunday so I can’t come for the baseline – can I do it Saturday morning instead?
let me check to see if a coach is available other than the scheduled classes.
also, do we need to sign up for the baseline? or just show up?
It helps to know which day you are coming but it’s not strict.
