Field Trip!
Tonight we will head over to Northview with a couple options. Depending on the weather and the size of our group, we will either do long hill repeats (these will take closer to a minute…not 15 seconds like Cool Creek), OR we will do the actual 5k.
You can meet us over there, or for those meeting at the gym, we will be leaving at 6:35.

At what point will you decide on the 5K? Need to get a 5K in this week. Would you be doing that on road or off?
I’d be game for the 5k and same as Craig – need to get one in.
I’m guessing the running will be on grass if everyone’s heading to Northview.
I’m doing the 5:30, but may join up for some running afterwards.
Chris, ever consider turning the 5K into a Fartlek? One minute on, two minutes off type thing? May be a good way to combine the two workouts you’re considering.
I vote for hill repeats. Craig, a 5K at northview will definitely be slower than a 5K on the road.
So – the weather doesn’t appear to be cooperating for the 5k. Since the Northview course is an all-grass course, it would probable not be ideal for most people. That being said, we are going to do the hill repeats (still on the Northview campus, but on pavement).
Tom – that’s a great idea…let’s keep that on the radar for next week. Probably won’t be a 5k specifically, but instead just a 25 minute Fartlek.
I like saying Fartlek.
