CFC Run & Endurance

Hey all,

Tonight is the last “official” CFE class for the year. We are facing shorter, colder nights and most people’s training programs are winding down so we thought this would be a good time to wind down as well. I hope it has been a beneficial time for those that took part and I look forward to speaking with all who attended to get more feedback. I have heard from a few people that they are going to continue running till/through winter and would like to have some run wods available and so I will continue to come up with run workouts for those who are interested. One easy option would be a longer run wod on Saturday mornings at 8:00am. I can try to get those peeps connected so they can do the wods together at the gym or another location if that’s more convenient.
For tonights wod I have 2 options: 1. Interval wod or 2. 5k run – for those who will miss CFC Freaky 5k tomorrow night.
I would prefer for everyone to do the same wod but I want to allow those who are missing the 5k to make it up as it may be last long TT of the year. If there are others who want to make it up we could look at doing a make up run a Saturday morning.

All who are coming tonight and/or interested in running for next few weeks please post the following:
1. Wod preference for tonight
2. Desire for another 5k make up time on another day
3. Days & times you would be able to meet for a run wod
4. Races you are doing this year (Monumental, Outback Scramble, etc)

Thanks everybody!

Outback Scramble – I’ve done this one a few times now. Definitely not your typical 4 miler. I would recommend it for anyone looking for some adventurous running. Probably 3 miles of the course is through the woods (no trail), and you find yourself going over/under logs, through creeks, up and down some steep hills (ropes needed), and more. Long sleeves and pants would be recommended.

I would like to continue doing CFE workouts, but since I started working 12hr shifts, my work days are usually mon, tues, thurs, so I probably won’t be able to. I would be up for a long run on saturdays or sundays through the winter, but can’t commit to every weekend since I work every 3rd.

when is the outback scramble? I would be up for this race.
