Welcome to our Crossfit Carmel Coaches and People page! Below you will get to read about your coaches and those people important to helping our CrossFit Carmel family exists. We appreciate everyone and I am sure you will also as you get to know them as coaches and friends.

Lin Coleson is a level 1 certified CrossFit trainer and also CrossFit Olympic Lifting certified trainer. He has been involved in sports and coaching for the last 15 years and has extended experience in working with lacrosse athletes. Lin is also a certified lacrosse umpire in the state of Indiana!

Brenda Coleson is the foundation of the business and management portion of our CrossFit Carmel family. She is experienced in event management and planning for large and small scale events. You will get to hear and see her daily as she tries to keep us in line!

Nick Smarrelli has been a CrossFit participant for the past few years and is also Level 1 Certified CrossFit trainer. Nick has been both a swimming and basketball coach and is currently training for the Madison Ironman in 2011.

Chris Mason Chris Mason has been CrossFitting since the fall of 2009. He started as a traditional, long-slow distance runner but was soon introduced to CrossFit Endurance. He has since obtained his CFE and Level 1 Certifications and is well versed in POSE running technique. Chris has completed a number of endurance events, most notably the 2009 & 2010 Planet Adventure 24hour Challenge and the 2010 Ironman Wisconsin.

Emily Hammer Emily is a Crossfit Level 1 certified coach. Before moving with her family to Indiana from California, she was the Head Women’s Lacrosse coach for Whittier College a NCAA Division 3 team. While at Whittier she coached 8 seasons, 2 All-Americans, 5 IWLCA All Region Players and 13 All Conference players. She also ran several girls lacrosse camps in New England and California. Emily is currently the head girls lacrosse coach at Park Tudor School. As an athlete Emily played lacrosse at the division 3 level at Denison University in Ohio. There the team made 3 NCAA appearances and won 3 NCAC conference championships and she was an IWLCA Honorable mention player. In 2009 Emily competed in the Southern California Region Crossfit Qualifier. She now lives in Zionsville with her husband BJ and two girls, Layla and Ellie.
